Indian 5.5 gen AMCA fighter plane prototype to be ready in next four years

India is planning to be ready with the first prototype of the 5.5 generation fighter jet by 2028. The project was discussed in detail after IAF and DRDO recently met, where its roadmap was reviewed. The 5.5 Gen Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft would be a stealth aircraft, weighing around 27 tonnes. Agencies working to enhance aircraft's stealth with concealed missile carriage, while boosting conventional weapon load.
