Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Japan for the Quad conference to be held tomorrow i.e. on 24 May 2022. China has vented its anger over the Quad Summit. China says that it is bound to fail, because America has started this exercise to control China. This statement of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang came at a time when the Quad Summit is to be held in Tokyo on 24 May. It will include PM Modi, US President Joe Biden and the PM of Japan-Australia. China claims that the intention of the Quad is to change the environment around China. Its purpose is to control China and make Asia-Pacific countries act as pawns of American dominance. What is particularly alarming, he said, is that the US is playing the "Taiwan" and "South China Sea" cards. The US, Japan, India and Australia together form the Quad Group, which emphasizes the spirit of an open and free Indo-Pacific. While China calls that region the Asia-Pacific region, it is against the Indo-Pacific strategic concept. China compared it to Asian NATO.
