The Indian Medical Association in Rajasthan is on the warpath ever since the Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government passed the Right to Health Bill on March 21. Ever since the bill is passed, the doctors in Jaipur and other parts of Rajasthan have been protesting against this bill and demanding its withdrawal. The doctors termed the bill “unconstitutional”. The medical professionals in Rajasthan, especially the private doctors, are out on the streets because they think it will increase the interference of bureaucrats in the functioning of private hospitals.
