IMD issues ‘yellow warning’ in Himachal Pradesh from Jan 13th to 16th

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued ‘yellow warning’ in Himachal Pradesh from January 13th to January 16th. While speaking to ANI, Director of Meteorological Centre in Shimla, Manmohan Singh said, “Due to some western disturbance the weather in Shimla can be changed in the coming days. There is the probability of rainfall, snowfall during night time.” “Warning has been issued for January 13 for the upper regions of Himachal Pradesh,” he added. To help prepare people for disruptive weather IMD provides colour-coded warnings to keep the public informed. Yellow is the least dangerous out of the weather warnings which means ‘be aware’.
