IESA Calls for 5% GST on All Batteries

The India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) has proposed that all new technology batteries be taxed uniformly at a 5% GST rate. This move aims to simplify the taxation structure and boost the adoption of energy storage technologies. IESA believes that a single tax rate across all battery types will benefit the renewable energy and electric vehicle sectors.
