Hotels and restaurants can not force customers to pay service charges

The central consumer protection authority (CCPA) on Monday barred hotels and restaurants from levying service charges. CCPA cleared that these charges are voluntary and can not be taken forcefully from the customers and called it “Unfair Trade Practice”
