Heavy Rains Likely Over Himachal, UP, Uttarakhand

Southwest monsoon has advanced into south Rajasthan, southeast Haryana, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, northern Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir.

A developed low pressure system located over north Madhya Pradesh and south Uttar Pradesh on Saturday morning is gradually weakening. However related troughs continue to persist over north central India and northeastern India. The trough leads to instability and brings heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms over Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Odisha on Saturday. Heavy rain and thunderstorms are also likely over Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday.
