Devotees offer prayers across nation on 3rd Monday of Sawan, Nag Panchami

‘Sawan’ month is dedicated to Lord Shiva which is one of the most auspicious months according to Hindu culture and tradition. Devotees offered prayers at temple across the country on the third Monday of ‘Sawan’ today. People across nation also celebrated Nag Panchami festival along with the third ‘Somvaar’ of ‘Sawan’ month. Milk is offered to snakes during the Nag Panchami festival. Men and women offer prayers to Lord Shiva by observing fast which holds great religious importance in Hindu beliefs.
