Delta Plus Variant raises concern in Maharashtra, BMC prepares to add 10,000 new beds

The Maharashtra government on June 25 issued fresh orders to impose state-level triggers against COVID-19 despite falling positivity rates and decreasing number of oxygen beds across the state. Additional restrictions have been imposed after the Delta Plus variant of COVID-19 was detected in seven districts of the state.
