Delhi Police launches app for safety of passengers travelling in cabs

Delhi police along with Uber has launched Himmat Plus app for the safety and security of people, at the Indira Gandhi International Airport. Amulya Patnaik, Commissioner, Delhi Police launched this app. On this occasion, more than 1000 Himmat QR verification cards were distributed among drivers. Once the passenger scans the QR card, they can view the driver and vehicle's details on the Himmat App. As soon as the user of Himmat app raises the SOS alert from the Himmat App, the location information is transmitted to Delhi Police control room. Delhi Police can then immediately send officials from the nearest police station to help the victim.
