China defends India over wheat export ban, says West just wants to shift blame
The Government of India has banned the export of wheat with immediate effect. This decision has been taken when the prices of wheat are increasing all over the world. Meanwhile, the decision of the Government of India to stop wheat exports has been criticized by the G-7 group of countries. China fiercely defended India's decision by saying that blaming a developing country like India is not going to solve the global food crisis. Chinese media reports states that, ''Now the G7 Agriculture Ministers have requested India not to ban the export of wheat. So why do G7 countries themselves stabilize the food market by increasing their exports? Though India is the second largest wheat producer in the world, its share in the world's wheat exports is very small. On the contrary, developed countries like America, Canada, European Union and Australia are included in the big exporting countries of wheat''.
