The premium rate of Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana has been increased to Rs 1.25 per day from Rs 330 per annum to Rs 436 now, besides the annual premium for Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana has been increased from Rs 12 to Rs 20 . These new premium rates are applicable from June 1, 2022. Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana is a term life insurance plan. Anyone from 18 years to 50 years can invest here. Under this scheme, a cover of up to Rs 2 lakh is given.
