ICMR released a guidance document for the management of type 1 diabetes. According to the report, Type 1 diabetes is rising among the younger population in the country. Type 2 diabetes is becoming prevalent in the age group of 25-34 years in both urban and rural areas. The number of diabetes cases in the country has increased by about 150%.
