In the last 24 hours, 23,300 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the country, 14,317 cases have been reported in Maharashtra alone, with about 70% of the country's active cases being reported in Maharashtra alone. In view of the increasing cases, the Maharashtra government had to impose a lockdown and night curfew in some cities.
