79-year-old village woman wins local body election in TNs Madurai

Age is just a number for 79-year-old, Veerammal Azhagappan, who has won the local body election of Arittapatti village in Melur Taluk of Madurai district in Tamil Nadu. In this election, seven candidates had competed against her and she won the election with a difference of 199 votes. After winning the election, Azhagappan said that the youth of the village have elected her irrespective of her age, and she will work for the people.
