Now, it has to be remembered for Aadhaar enrolment or update, there is a list of accepted documents under certain categories. The categories are as follows:

1) Proof of Identity documents containing name and photo

2) Proof of relationship of documents containing name of applicant and name of head of family

3) Date of Birth documents containing name and date of birth

4) Proof of Address documents containing name and address

The list of the documents is also available on the mAadhaar app. One must note that the mAadhaar app can be used anywhere anytime within India. mAadhaar is more than Aadhaar card in a wallet. On one hand, the mAadhaar profile is accepted as a valid ID proof by airports and railways. On the other hand, a resident can use the features in the app to share their eKYC or QR code with service providers who sought Aadhaar verification of their customers before providing Aadhaar services.
