Signature bridge in Delhi across the Yamuna river is all set to be thrown open to the public on November 5! The movement of traffic between North East Delhi and Wazirabad is going to become much easier because the much-awaited 'Signature Bridge'. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will inaugurate the bridge on Sunday afternoon and vehicles will start plying on it from Monday, Nov 5. Here are the details of the Signature Bridge:
Signature Bridge: New Delhi
In 2004, the then Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit had finalised the Signature bridge project and Delhi Cabinet approved it in 2007. The initial plan was to prepare the project at a cost of about Rs 1,131 cr, before the Commonwealth Games! But there were continuous delays in the project, so much so that in the year 2015, its cost shot up to about Rs 1,594 cr. Image Source: Twitter
Signature Bridge: Wazirabad road to Karnal bypass
Singature bridge connects Wazirabad road to Karnal bypass. This will not only help the people going to Mukherjee Nagar, Timarpur, Baddi and Azadpur towards Yamuna Vihar, Gokalpuri, Bhajanpura and Khajuri of North-East Delhi, but rather in the cities of UP such as Loni, Sonepat, Saharanpur, Baghpat from Kashmiri Gate. Signature Bridge: Inauguration on Nov 5

Signature Bridge: Laser show after inauguration
After inspection, Manish Sisodia instructed the officers to complete the remaining preparations by paying a full overview of the bridge. He said that the bridge is ready.
