Vande Bharat Sleeper Class Trains: The latest addition to the Indian Railways Vande Bharat Express train service, the highly-anticipated Vande Bharat Sleeper Train offers a combination of advanced technology and comfort while setting a new standard for rail travel in the country. Boasting a maximum speed to the tune of 160 kilometers per hour, the Vande Bharat Sleeper trains have been meticulously designed to combine aesthetic appeal with functional excellence. All materials and components used in the train set adhere to the highest fire safety standards, according to an official statement.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Minister of State for Railways Veeranna Somanna have provided glimpses of the Vande Bharat Sleeper Version train set being produced at BEML Bengaluru.

The Vande Bharat 2.0 was launched on September 30, 2022, with the first train flagged off by the Prime Minister from Gandhinagar to Mumbai. The second generation Vande Bharat trains can reach speeds of as high as 180 kmph and are lighter at 392 tonnes compared to the previous 430 tonnes.

The trains come with a host of safety features, including the KAVACH train collision avoidance system, emergency windows, platform cameras, safety certifications, aerosol-based fire detection and suppression systems, Improved floodproofing for under-slung equipment, and multiple emergency lights per coach to tackle electrical failure situations.
