The auction for the seventh season of Pro Kabaddi League or PKL started on April 8 with 29 players retained by the respective franchises. The two-day auction started with a bang as last year's hero for U Mumba, Siddharth Desai was sold to Telugu Titans for a whopping Rs 1.45 crore, making him the most expensive player of this season while Nitin Tomar was retained by Puneri Paltan for Rs 1.20 crore. The teams are allowed to keep a minimum of 18 players in their squad and a maximum of 25. Here are the five most expensive players of this year's auction -
1. Siddharth Desai (Rs 1.45 crore, Telugu Titans) -
PKL Auction: Desai made his Pro Kabaddi debut last year and caught everyone's eye with his impressive performances. He scored 221 points in his first season and is a perfect replacement for Rahul Chaudhari who has parted ways with the franchise after spending six years with them.
