IRCTC Tatkal ticket booking time, refund and other changes: Indian Railways makes these 10 critical changes

IRCTC Tatkal ticket booking: Indian Railways unit Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has introduced fresh Tatkal ticket booking rules recently. Tatkal tickets are available are targetted at those passengers who want to travel on an urgent basis. The Indian Railways reportedly made these changes so that travellers face no difficulties. Here are 10 top IRCTC Tatkal ticket booking rules changes:

IRCTC Tatkal ticket booking time changes: Counters will open from 10 am, while non-AC tickets can be booked from 11 am.

IRCTC Tatkal ticket booking changes: Travellers have to book the ticket a day before their scheduled travel date.

IRCTC Tatkal ticket booking refund changes: If a train is over 3 hours late, complete refund of fare and Tatkal charges is possible.

IRCTC Tatkal ticket booking refund changes: Full refund can be claimed if the train’s route is diverted.

IRCTC Tatkal ticket booking refund changes: Refund can be claimed if the train’s route is diverted and the passengers boarding station/destination or both are not on the diverted route.

IRCTC Tatkal ticket booking changes: A Tatkal ticket will be treated as confirmed if a confirmed reservation has been given to one RAC or a waitlisted ticket holder up to the final preparation of charts.
