With this change, tickets of Rajdhani Express would become more affordable for low-budget customers of Indian Railways.
The applicable GST rate on supply of food or drinks by Indian Railways or IRCTC or their licensees, whether in trains or at platforms will be 5% without Input Tax Credit.
The 5% GST on catering services in Rajdhani Express has come into effect from April 16 onward. The catering charges are part of the Indian Railways ticket fare purchased in case of the premium trains
