The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted above-normal rainfall across India for July 26, 2024. The nation's leading weather forecasting agency reported heavy to very heavy rainfall in various regions over the past 24 hours. These conditions pose a risk of potential flooding and could cause disruptions for residents. Citizens are advised to take necessary precautions to avoid any inconvenience. Below is the recorded rainfall for the following states:

 In Maharashtra, alert has been issued with heavy rainfall with areas like Mahabaleshwar in Satara recorded 28 cm of rain, Lonavala in Pune saw 24 cm, while Shahuwadi and Chandgad in Kolhapur each received 19 cm. Gaganbawada in Kolhapur reported 17 cm of rainfall.
