Har Ghar Tiranga campaign: India on Monday marked its Independence Day. Indians all over the world celebrated the day with great zeal and patriotism by unfurling the Tricolour.
The government under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign encouraged the civilians to hoist Tricolour atop their homes on Independence Day. The initiative was a huge success as people in every nook and corner joined the campaign.
The government has amended the Flag Code of India which clearly lays down the rules for hoisting the Tricolour and later folding and storing the National Flag.
The government through the official Twitter handle of Amrit Mahotsav tweeted the correct way to fold the National Flag. “The National Flag should be folded & stored respectfully as shown in the pictures,” Amrit Mahotsav said in a tweet.
The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign has generated business of Rs 500 crore with over 30 crore flags sold this year, according to the traders’ body Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT). The
