Gully Boy box office collection: Excellent weekend for Ranveer Singh, Alia starrer; set to break this record
Gully Boy box office collection: Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt starrer has earned over Rs 72 cr in first weekend, as the film on the street rappers is moving ahead with a positive word of mouth. The Zoya Akhtar film, whose success is stated to be restricted to metro cities, has managed to rule the domestic ticket windows on Sunday. The film has minted Rs 21.30 crore on day 4, taking its overall collection to Rs 72.45 crore. With a grand opening of Rs 19.40 crore on Thursday, Gully Boy's collections were down on Friday to Rs 13.10 crore, but earnings soared again on Saturday and Sunday to Rs 18.65 crore and Rs 21.30 crore respective. The film is getting mammoth response in metros, but the same is limited in mass centres.

The film now set to become Zoya Akhtar's highest grosser of all-time. The record is currently being held by Dil Dhadakne Do. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt film's story revolves around an aspiring rapper, Murad, who tides over all odds to make a name for himself.
