As per tradition, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today called on President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan before presenting the Union Budget. The Finance Minister carried the Budget papers in a read file, which carried the impression of the national emblem, instead of the traditional briefcase.
