7th pay commission: Latest developments amid salary hike speculation

7th pay commission: Amid speculation that general elections, slated for next year, may be preponed and likely to be held simultaneously with state assembly polls by end of this year, central government employees and pensioners are keeping their fingers crossed about getting to hear about a pay hike announcement in the near future. They are waiting for a hike in their salary and fitment factor beyond the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission.
