7th Pay Commission (CPC): Defence forces get big hike in this wage courtesy Modi government order; notification issued
7th Pay Commission: With 2019 Lok Sabha elections just a few months away , the NDA government is taking positive steps and clearing long pending demands of the Central Government employees and in this instance Defence forces personnel. Armed forces personnel have been asking for a hike in minimum disability or war injury pension, and at last Modi government has agreed to clear it. The step that has been taken is over and above the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission, which had suggested a slab-based system for determining the disability pension for Defence forces. Check out what 7th Pay Commission (CPC) hike for Defence forces is all about:
7th Pay Commission: pension for disability
The government faced widespread criticism over introducing slab-based system, and the Defence Ministry referred the matter to the Anomaly Committee. Finally, the ministry has decided that Rs 18,000 per month would be the pension for disability or war injury pension for armed forces personnel. Image source: Reuters

While this demand of the Defence forces has been met, on the other hand, Central government employees numbering around 50 lakh staffers are hopeful that the government would certainly pay heed to their demands for hike in minimum pay and fitment factor beyond the 7th pay Commission recommendation too.
