It was a blockbuster Wednesday on Dalal Street, as benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty gained over 300 points and 100 points respectively. The buying sentiment has continued with enthusiasm, as at around 1354 hours, Sensex was trading at 35,614.35 above 261.74 points or 0.74%. Whereas the Nifty 50 was performing at 10.686.35 up by 82 points or 0.77%. Interestingly, gains were also witnessed in majority of stocks which were held by big bull Rakesh Jhunjhunwala. There were stocks namely VIP Industries, Edelweiss Financial Services and Prakash Industries, where Jhunjhunwala has parked couple of crores, has surged in the range of 4% to nearly 7%. If you have invested in these three stocks, then just like Jhunjhunwala you have also made hefty gains.

It was VIP Industries who was the top performer in Jhunjhunwala’s portfolio today, by rising nearly 7% after touching an intraday high of Rs 435.60 per piece. Currently, the stock was trading at Rs 429.55 per piece up by 5.11% on BSE. Jhunjhunwala here has 3.69% stake with 5,215,000 equity share worth Rs 220 crore. 

Going ahead, NBFC-major Edelweiss surged by nearly 5% after clocking an intraday high of Rs 147.65 per piece on BSE. The stock since then has corrected, and is trading at Rs 147.45 per piece up by 4.46% on the index. In this company, Jhunjhunwala has bought 1.07% stake with 10,000,000 equity shares valuing to Rs 145.9 crore. 

Further, Prakash Industries jumped over 4% when they earmarked an intraday high of Rs 88.75 in early trading session on BSE. Now the stock is trading at Rs 88.45 per piece higher by 3.81%. Here, Jhunjhunwala has about 1.53% stake with 2,500,000 equity shares aggregating up to Rs 22 crore. 

These three were not alone in adding more money in Jhunjhunwala’s kitty today. Other Jhunjhunwala stocks that surged were Delta Corp, DHFL, Geojit Financial Services, TV18 Broadcast, Autoline Industries, Jaiprakash Associates, The Mandhana Retail, NCC, Fortis Healthcare, Jubilant Life Science, Escorts, Crisil, Bilcare, Aptech, Man Infra, SpiceJet, Karur Vysya Bank and Agro Tech in the range of 1% to 4% currently.
