Yet, amidst all this chaos, if there is someone who has made his mark, it is BINOD. Be it Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp or any other social media platform, Binod is making waves everywhere.
Why is Binod trending?
Binod came under the spotlight when a YouTube channel, Slayy Point, shared a video where creators Abhyudaya and Gautami Kawale, decided to roast the comments section of Indian YouTube videos.
The video titles “Why Indian Comments Section is Garbage (BINOD)," published on July 15, highlighted a comment from a user named Binod, which simply had his first name "Binod" in the comments section.

Later on, several other YouTubers also pointed out that they have received comments from the same user, stating Binod in the comments section. Twitter was flooded with a number of Binod memes. The viral trend rose exponentially, and several brands, companies and even police departments joined the bandwagon with their own Binod tweets.
In fact, Paytm even changed its official Twitter handle’s name to Binod. Tinder, Netflix and Airtel India too jumped on the bandwagon.
Recently, country's top lender State Bank of India (SBI) also used Binod to spread awareness about online safety while banking. “Only if everyone behaved like #Binod when online, there would be lesser fraud reports."
Along with the tweet, the bank has also shared an image that reads, "This is Binod. Binod likes sharing his own name on Social Media, not his bank details. Be like Binod."
