Another incident has been reported with Uber and this time this is something that will make you laugh. Preshit Deorukhkar, a Mumbai resident booked a cab from Uber on July 19. Soon after booking the cab from the app, Deorukhkar found out that the driver started the ride without even picking him! And when he tried to contact the driver, his phone was unreachable.

Deorukhkar the raised the issue with authorities at Uber along with the Twitter. Meanwhile, the driver was roaming around in the city at Deorukhar's expense, which he found out after tracking the journey of the cab online. He brought this to the notice of the Uber authorities and also mentioned that the Uber driver's proper name has not been mentioned in the app, instead it only says 'P.'

According to a report by DNA, Deorukhkar also joked about the fact whether there was any dead body in the car or not. He said, “Or he is dumping a dead body sealed in the car deep in the mangroves, me thinks.” After the driver ended the trip, it showed a payment of Rs 857.43!

Uber responded to Deorukhkar’s complaint and also stated that they would refund the full trip fare which will reflect in his account within the next 3-5 days. According to reports, it was the first working day of the cab driver with Uber.it)
