When Sachin Tendulkar meets Google CEO Sundar Pichai you get Sundar pic-hai
The ICC ODI World Cup may not have given us too many last over thrillers, but it has offered enough iconic moments to keep the cricket lovers hooked. May it be Ed Sheeran watching the England cricket team play, Rihanna meeting her school teacher who is now the assistant coach of West Indies or Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed yawning on the field, we have seen it all.
And, one such iconic moment has been former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar's meeting with the Google CEO Sundar Pichai. The two celebrity figures met during the India vs England World Cup match on June 30.
And, of course, a lot of pics were clicked of the delighted Master Blaster and corporate icon respectively. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was the first to share an image of the two watching the game. "Google CEO @sundarpichai along with the Master Blaster @sachin_rt at the game today," BCCI had tweeted with the image on June 30.
Now, keeping the bonhomie going, Master Blaster himself shared a couple of pics from the same meet on July 3 i.e. Wednesday. Not just this, Sachin also had a funny caption to go with, asking his followers if it is a 'Sundar pic'. "Kya yeh Sundar pic-hai?' he tweeted.
Pichai has always been a huge cricket fan and at an event organised by US-India Business Council said that he is backing India and England to reach the final of the World Cup. He has also admitted of dreaming of being a cricketer during his growing up years and idolised Sunil Gavaskar and later Tendulkar. Even though India lost that match to England, it qualified for the semi-final by beating Bangladesh in the following game. Now, the Indian cricket team will take on neighbours Sri Lanka in their last group game.
Apart from India, England and Australia have also qualified for the next round. The last semi-finalist will be between New Zealand and Pakistan with the Kiwis having an upper hand due to higher net run rate.
