West Bengal Police SI Recruitment 2019: West Bengal Police Recruitment Board's recruitment notification has sought applications from eligible male Indian citizens for 668 Sub Inspector posts in West Bengal Police's Armed and Unarmed branches. Interested candidates can submit their application at the West Bengal Police board's official website--www.wbpolice.gov.in. Candidates can also apply through offline facilities. The application process begins from August 10, and the last date to do so is September 9, 2019 (5 PM).

Notably, applicants must visit the official websites to check details on the eligibility criteria, method of selection, scheme of examination, procedure for submission of application form and other terms and conditions before submission of their application.

Candidates should notice that the last date of deposit of application and processing fees, who are applying through online using United Bank of India challan, will be September 12, 2019 during banking hours, due to technical reasons. 

According to the notification, the West Bengal SI vacant positions will be filled up on basis of qualifying the preliminary examination, followed by Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Final Combined Competitive Examination and Personality Test conducted by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board.

Age limit: The candidates should be in the age group of 23 to 27 years on January 1, 2019, according to the official notification. An upper-age limit relaxation by five years is given for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories, while Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates will have age relaxation of three years. 

Educational qualification: The candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent.

Notably, Applicants must be able to speak, read and write Bengali language, but this provision will not be applicable to those who are permanent residents of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts.
