There are 668 Sub-Inspector posts available for graduates in this West Bengal Police Recruitment 2019 drive. West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (WBPRB) has invited applications for the post of Sub-Inspector of Police (Un-armed Branch) and Sub-Inspector of Police (Armed Branch) in West Bengal Police.
The eligible male candidates can apply through both the online and offline mode for the West Bengal Police SI Posts. WBP Sub Inspector applications are available from 10 August to 09 September 2019. Here are all the details eligibility, qualification, salary, important dates, age limit etc.

- Salary:
The candidate will get a salary of Rs 7,100 to 37,600 + Grade Pay Rs 3,900 plus other admissible allowances.
- Educational Qualification:
1. The applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or its equivalent
2. Must be able to speak, read and write in Bengali (Not applicable to permanent residents of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts).
- Age Limit:
The maximum age limit as per the official notification is 20-27 years.
The selection of the candidate will be done on the basis of Preliminary Examination which will act as screening examination followed by the Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Final Combined Competitive Examination and Personality Test.
All provisionally selected candidates shall be required to appear for Medical Examination at the State Government designated hospitals. He should qualify the prescribed medical test as well.

1. SC (West Bengal only) - Rs 20 for Processing Fee
2. ST (West Bengal only) - Rs 20 for Processing Fee
West Bengal Police Recruitment Board extends the facilities of both the on-line and off-line submission of applications.
- Offline Submission:
The offline Application Form must be downloaded using the website policewb.gov.in through any available Cyber Café or Personal Computer with internet connectivity. Before downloading the application form, click for the post you wish to apply for.
The filled up application form may be sent only by post addressed to the Chairman, West Bengal Police Recruitment Board, Araksha Bhaban, 5th Floor, Block – DJ, Sector – II, Salt Lake City, Kolkata – 700 091 superscribing on the envelope 'NAME OF THE RECRUITMENT, NAME OF THE POST' and 'APPLICATION SL. NO.'
