West Bengal Lok Sabha Elections Exit Polls Results 2024: The All India Trinamool Congress (AITC or TMC) is predicted to bag 14-18 out of the 42 Parliamentary seats representing West Bengal in the 2024 general elections, while 22-26 seats are estimated to go to the Centre-ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), according to the CNX exit poll. The exit polls, predicting the outcome of a six-week, seven-phase voting exercise to elect a new government at the Centre in the world's largest democracy, came on Saturday, June 1, after the country completed polling for 57 Lok Sabha seats in the seventh and final phase of the 2024 general elections.

The exit poll suggests that the BJP may beat the representation of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress in the Lok Sabha, building on the gains made in 2019.  

In the 2019 general elections, the BJP made significant gains while the Trinamool Congress (TMC) remained the dominant party in West Bengal. While the TMC bagged 22 out of the 42 Parliamentary seats in the state, 18 seats went to the BJP and the Indian National Congress secured two seats.

In the 2014 general elections as well, the TMC won 34 out of the 42 seats in the state while two seats went to the BJP.

What about the total 543 Lok Sabha seats?

Out of the total 543 Lok Sabha seats contested, the Zee News poll of polls predicts the NDA to bag 367 seats, the Indian National Congress-led INDIA bloc to win 140 seats, and other parties or candidates to secure 36 seats.
