Covid-19 clocked 7 lakh fresh cases globally and single-day coronavirus cases in India touched almost 2.75 lakh on Sunday. Globally, death cases crossed 30 lakh-mark as on April 18. Talking about seriousness of this new Covid 19 surge, Zee Business Managing Editor Anil Singhvi on Monday said the most important thing to guard ourselves against this virus is a face mask.

He said instead of completely relying on medical services and depending on government medical care, one should rather take all possible precautions to save oneself from infection.
"One should take care of oneself and family members and friends. Everyone should wear a face mask, besides maintaining social distancing. Take care of sanitization too. I have been getting phone calls this whole weekend, all enquiring about beds, medicines and oxygen. Everything seems to be running out of stock, despite governments and medical agencies putting their best foot forward to beat this virus," he said.
He added that Corona is hitting everyone alike, not even family members of those catering to medical services have been left untouched.
"The worst part is that it seems to be spreading in air now. Even those at home are getting infected from Covid-19. We have started this show with the sole objective to spread awareness among people and urge them to treat this matter seriously. People at home and outside should make it a point to wear face mask as it is the only thing that will save you from contracting virus or help others from not getting infected from you," Anil Singhvi concluded.
