Wayanad and Amethi Lok Sabha Seat Results 2024: The Indian National Congress (INC) and the Gandhi family had two important seats where their reputation is stake- Wayanad in Kerala and Amethi in Uttar Pradesh. They won both the seats on Tuesday (June 4, 2024). From the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat, sitting member of Parliament and ex-Congress president, Rahul Gandhi beat Annie Raja from the Communist Party of India (CPI) by 3,64,422 votes. In Amethi, the Congress Kishori Lal Sharma threw a surprise as he beat Smriti Irani by 1,67,196 votes.
Rahul contested from the Amethi and Wayanad seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. While he won from Wayanad, he bit dust in Amethi, where Smriti Irani pulled of a remarkable victory by 50,000 votes. We will keep giving you updates about the seats.
