WATCH: ITBP Himveers celebrate Republic Day at 15k feet altitude in -35 degree Celsius
The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) celebrated this patriotic day at 15000 feet altitude in -35 degree Celsius temperature at Ladakh borders.
India is celebrating its 73rd Republic Day today with a grand celebration and parade in the national capital Delhi. Along with that this patriotic event is celebrated in all parts of the country, including snow-covered regions with sub-zero temperatures. Our personnel of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) who are serving in bitterly cold conditions in Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, and Uttarakhand, celebrated this patriotic day at 15000 feet altitude in -35 degree Celsius temperature at Ladakh borders.
Himveers of ITBP commemorated the national day by unfurling the national flag and taking outmarches.

In the video, ITBP troops are assembled to hoist the tricolor.

They also marched in the freezing temperatures of Ladakh's borders, with one in front waving the national flag.
Indo-Tibetan Border Police
One of India's five Central Armed Police Forces is the Indo-Tibetan Border Force. It was founded following the Sino-Indian War of 1962. The India-China border is patrolled by the ITBP.
ITBP personnel are stationed at border posts with elevations ranging from 9,000 feet to 18,800 feet. These places may experience temperatures as low as minus 45 degrees Celsius.
