War movie box office collection Day 1: Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer War has received a rave response from the moviegoers on opening day at the box office. Even though the official figures are yet to be out, the Hindi version of the film has alone minted around Rs 50 crore on first day. Trade analyst Sumit Kadel said that it is a historic collection as War had released on 800 lesser screens than Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan. In August, Kadel had predicted that the film should earn around Rs 48 crore to Rs 50 crore on the day of release. "#WAR Day-1 ₹ 50 cr nett approx. Cheetey ki chaal, baaz ki nazar aur Sumit kadel k prediction pe sandeh nahi karte.. HISTORIC COLLECTION despite 800-1000 lesser screens than Thugs," he tweeted.

Salman Khan's Bharat had minted Rs 41.62 crore on its opening day. Hence, War has become the highest opening day grosser at the Box office in 2019 leaving Salman Khan's Bharat behind by near Rs 13.4 crore.

Box Office trade analyst had already predicted big numbers for Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff starrer War. Taran Adarsh had tweeted on October 2 after the bumper opening of War citing, "Biggg *Day 1* number on the cards... #War starts with a big bang!"

Trade analysts are of the opinion that War Box Office Collection Day 2 and War Box Office Collection Day 3 will be around Rs 20-22 crore each and its Saturday and Sunday box office collection is expected in the range of Rs 35 crore.
