In another tweet, Kadel revealed that the film is doing exceptionally well in West Bengal, especially at Kolkata circuit. He said that War should earn around Rs 2.20 crore in that circuit itself. "#WAR is having insane advance booking in West Bengal specially at Kolkata circuit. Durga puja factor & 2nd October holiday ensures ₹ 2.20-2.30 cr Day-1 nett biz in WB circuit. Film to have record breaking First week collection in Bengal as the state is having 7 days holiday," Kadel tweeted.

The film releases on the same date as Cheereanjeevi starrer Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. The latter is releasing in multiple languages and features several stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Sudeep. While WAR is releasing on over 4500 screens in India, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy has only got 20 to 30 per cent in Noth India.

"Despite AA films full efforts, Exhibitors are refusing to allot even 20-30% screens & shows to #SyeRaaNarasimhaReddy in north/Hindi belt. #WAR is going to release on 4500+ screens in India," Kadel said.

The actual competition for WAR could come from Warner Bros film Joker and Ayushmann Khurrana's Dream Girl. Joker, which had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, won the coveted Golden Lion trophy. It stars Joaquin Phoenix in the lead role along with legendary Robert De Niro. Meanwhile, Dream Girl is into its third week and is still going strong.
