Vistara flights from Mumbai, Trivandrum, Bhubaneswar diverted to Lucknow, Amritsar due to bad weather around Delhi Airport

Vistara Trivandrum-Delhi, Bhubaneswar-Delhi flights diverted to Lucknow news; Vistara Mumbai-Delhi flight diverted to Amritsar news: Private airline Vistara said on Saturday that two of its flights, from Trivandrum (TRV) in Kerala, Bhubaneswar (BBI) in Odisha and Mumbai in Maharashtra, that were originally scheduled to reach New Delhi were diverted due to bad weather around Delhi Airport. While the flights from Trivandrum and Bhuvaneswar were diverted to Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, the flight from Mumbai was diverted to Amritsar (ATQ) in Punjab.  

"#DiversionUpdate: Flight UK788 from Bhubaneswar to Delhi (BBI-DEL) has been diverted to Lucknow (LKO) due to bad weather at Delhi airport and is expected to arrive in Lucknow (LKO) at 1710 hours. Please stay tuned for further updates," the airline posted on microblogging site X (formerly Twitter).

"Please note that the diverted flight will shortly depart from Lucknow to Delhi. Please stay tuned for further updates," the airline said in response to a user on the social media platform.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) warned of "thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain with heavy intensity rain over isolated places and gusty winds with speed of 30-50 Km/h" in several areas in and around the Delhi National Capital Region. Read more on what the country's weather office said
