Uttar Pradesh Lockdown: Follow these simple steps to apply for E-PASS online in UP, check link other BIG details now
Uttar Pradesh Lockdown e-pass: To stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the state, the Uttar Pradesh government recently decided to extend its weekend lockdown further by two more days till Thursday 7 am in several districts of the state. Now, the UP government issuing an e-pass for people who need to go out for getting essential services during the curfew period.

The curfew was earlier scheduled to be in force till May 4. Now, all shops and establishments will remain closed till Thursday at 7 am. Earlier, the UP government had announced that weekend lockdowns will include Mondays as well, the Zee Media bureau reported.
Those who want to travel during the curfew to avail ‘essential’ services can apply for an e-pass by visiting the official portal of UP Govt Revenue Department — rahat.up.nic.in. The e-pass will be valid for one day for travel within the district, and two days for inter-district movement.
To apply for an e-pass: You need to visit the official website – rahat.up.nic.in. Then, go to the e-pass portal. Click on ‘Apply e-pass’. Submit the required details to generate an OTP. Fill the registration form. After submitting the form, the application will be reviewed by the administration, and those approved will get an SMS with the link to the online pass.
According to the report, those traveling within the state will be issued an e-pass by the sub-divisional magistrate. The Additional District Magistrate will issue an e-pass to those traveling out of the district. While for movement outside the state, the e-pass will be issued by district magistrates.
Documents required for e-pass: Documents including Aadhar or PAN card and GST-related papers (for commercial units) will be required for the online application of the e-pass.
Meanwhile, India recorded over 3.82 lakh new COVID-19 cases and 3,780 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday (May 5, 2021). There were 3,82,315 new coronavirus infections and 3,38,439 recoveries between Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
The country, going through the second wave of coronavirus, now has a total of 2,06,65,148 COVID-19 cases, of which, 1,69,51,731 people have recovered, while 2,26,188 have succumbed to the virus.
