The number of people who have been affected by Coronavirus disease has reached almost 82000. In many states the number of reported cases were initially very low, but now the number of cases there are
rising. One of those states is Jharkhand. On Thursday 22 new cases of coronavirus were reported there. This has take the overall tally to 203. The new cases account mostly of those who have come from other
states. Though no new case has been reported in almost 13 states and Union territories in the last 24 hours.
The mortality rate of coronavirus is 3.2 per cent while the recovery rate is 33.6 per cent.
Having cough and cold? Give your identity
The rising number of coronavirus cases has prompted the state administration to take this step. If you are suffering from cough or cold, you will be required to give your complete personal details. The Uttar Pradesh government has issued a new order with regard to this. As per the official notification, all medical stores will have to keep records of customers purchasing medicines related to cough, cold and fever.
The chemist will have to take the name, address and mobile numbers of such customers and hand it over to the Health and Family Welfare Board. The details will need to be updated on its website by 5 pm daily.
Governments at the states and Centre have been taking concrete steps against the spread of the disease. The preacautionary steps will be taken till the time the drug is found to treat the coronavirus pandemic.

After assessing the situation in Gujarat a few days back where some cases of fights were reported at the medical stores by customer to buy Hydroxychloroquine, at least five states have already given similar orders. The states of Telangana, Maharashtra, Bihar and Odisha had issued similar orders. The governments are of the view that people after finding symptoms of cough, cold or fever are indulging in self medication.
