Years after Hrithik Roshan set the Box Office on fire with his debut film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai in 2000,  a surprise challenger to the Bollywood star has emerged. Though being a new entrant to the industry, Vicky Kaushal is at the pinnacle of his career as a lead actor in commercially successful Uri: The Surgical Strike. Though Vicky has played in roles in other films like Raazi, Saare Jahaan Se Achcha, among others, Uri is the first film where he is the lead actor and proved his mettle. Uri has so far collected over Rs 200 crore at the Box Office and there is no stopping the film.

According to a Box Office India report, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai had earned over Rs 74 crore in India collection. If you look at the trend in the industry, superstars like Salman, Aamir and Shah Rukh or Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Ajay Devgn and Hrithik Roshan, they have made it to the Rs 200-crore club after doing a couple of movies.

No doubt, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai had created a different kind of sensation that propelled Hrithik into the pedestal of a superhero. The Vicky Kaushal's film, which is based on the surgical strike carried out by the Indian Army across the border inside the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, has caught the imagination of the countrymen and it seems to be refusing to slow down anytime soon. The movie has done equally well in rural and urban areas.  The success of Uri: The Surgical Strike has certainly made the flop prone industry happy.

Uri: The Surgical Strike has also broken the fifth-week collection record of Baahubali 2. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted today, "#UriTheSurgicalStrike is on a record-smashing spree...
