UPSC recruitment 2019: Eligibility Criteria

male candidates who wish to apply for the posts must be unmarried and should be born not earlier than 2 July, 2000 and not later 1 July 2003.

For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: The applicants must have passed class 12th or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: The candidates who wish to apply for the same must have passed class 12th or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Examination format

Mathematics for 2.5 hours for a total of 300 marks
General Ability Test for 2.5 hours for a total of 600 marks
SSB Test/Interview: 900 marks

Pay scale

The recruited candidates will be eligible to get a fixed stipend and pay for Army Officers and equivalent ranks in Air Force and Navy. Again a fixed stipend would be given to Gentlemen Cadets during the entire duration of training in service academies i.e. during training period at IMA. The amount is Rs 56,100 per month.
