UPSC recruitment 2019: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results of the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination, 2018. The merit list is based on the combined scores of the written test, which was held on August 12, 2018, and the personality tests which were organised between June 24 and July 24, 2019. The commission has selected a total of 416 candidates for the posts of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces, including Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

The category-wise breakup of 416 positions includes General-178, OBC-124, SC-77, ST-37 and the commission has recommended them for appointment. The government had notified a total of 466 vacancies, including 10 per cent of total vacancies reserved for ex-servicemen, and now the appointments would be made to the various services as per the number of vacancies available and would be subject to candidates fulfilling all the prescribed eligibility provisions. 

The services would be allotted to candidates according to the merit obtained and preference of services given by them. Candidates check their names in the list at this link: http://164.100.117.97/WriteReadData/userfiles/CAPF%202018%20list.pdf

The result is also available on the UPSC's official website-http//www.upsc.gov.in. Candidates would also be able to check their marks which would be available on the website within 15 days from the date of declaration of Result.

Notably, the Union Public Service Commission has a ‘Facilitation Counter’ near Examination Hall Building in its Campus, where candidates can visit to get any information /clarification regarding their examination/recruitments on working days between 10 am to 5 pm in person.
