UPSC Recruitment 2018: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) through an official notification has invited applications for the post of manager, Assistant Geologist, Legal Advisor-cum-Standing Counsel, Specialist (Plastic Surgery & Physiology) and Administrative Officer among others. 1. Manager (Marketing & Trade)
Number of Posts: 1
Age: Not exceeding 40 years as on normal closing date, Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T.
Pay Scale: Rs.67700-208700/-in Level-11 in the 7th CPC pay revised) (Pre-revised PB-3 15600-39100 plus GP Rs. 6600).
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Marketing or Business Management or Business Administration from a recognized University or Institute or equivalent and Five years post qualification experience in the field of Marketing and Trade in an Organization or Industry of repute.
2. Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Physiology)
Number of Posts: 6 (UR-3, OBC-1, SC-1, ST-1)
Age: Not exceeding 40 years on the normal closing date.
Pay Scale: PB-3 i.e. Rs.15, 600-39,100 with Grade Pay Rs.6600/- plus N.P.A as admissible. (Pre-revised)
Educational Qualification: (i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).
ii) Post- Graduate degree in the concerned speciality or Super-speciality mentioned in Section A of Schedule VI i.e. Doctor of Medicine (Physiology) or MBBS with M.Sc. (Physiology) or Master of Science (Medical Physiology) with Doctor of Philosophy (Medical Physiology) or Master of Science (Medical Physiology) with Doctor of Science (Medical Physiology).
3. Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Plastic Surgery)
Number of Posts: 7 (UR-2, OBC-4, SC-1)
Age: Not exceeding 40 years on the normal closing date.
Pay Scale: PB-3 i.e. Rs.15, 600-39,100 with Grade Pay Rs.6600/- plus N.P.A as admissible.(Pre-revised)
Educational Qualification: i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 ( 102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in sub-section(3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956(102 of 1956).
ii) Post- Graduate degree in the concerned speciality or Super-speciality mentioned in Section-A of Schedule VI i.e. Magister Chirurguie (Plastic Surgery) or Magister of Chirurguie (Plastic and Constructive Surgery)
4. Assistant Professor (Fire/ Civil Engineering)
Number of Posts: 1
Age: Not exceeding 35 years on the normal closing date.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15,600-39,100 ( PB-3) plus Rs. 6,000 (Academic Grade Pay) (Total emoluments excluding T.A. and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 50976/-p.m. approximately)
Educational Qualification: First Class Master Degree in Fire/Civil Engineering
Desirable Qualification: 1. Teaching, research, industrial or professional experience in Fire/Civil Engineering and Technology in the recognised Research Institutions or Universities or Semi-Government or Autonomous Bodies or Statutory Organisations or Institutions under the direct control of the Central Government or State Government or Union Territories administration or Public Sector Univertakings.
2. Papers presented at Conferences or in referred journals.
5. Assistant (Geologist)
Number of Posts: 75 (UR-40, OBC-20, SC-12, ST-3, PH-6)
Age: Not exceeding 30 years as on normal closing date.
Pay Scale: Level-8 in the pay matrix(Rs 47,600-1,51,100)
Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Geo-exploration or Mineral Exploration or Engineering Geology or Geo-chemistry or Marine Geology or Earth Science and Resource Management or Oceanography and Coastal Area Studies (Coastal Geology)or Environmental Geology or Geo-informatics from a recognized University or Institution.
6. Administrative Officer
Number of Posts: 16 (UR-9, OBC-4, SC-3, PH-1)
Age: Not exceeding 30 (thirty) years.
Pay Scale: PB-2 Rs. 9,300 - 34,800 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4,600/-
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University.
7. Assistant Director Grade-I (Technical)
Number of Posts: 1 (SC)
Age: The normal age limit is 35 years and below.
Pay Scale: Pay Matrix at Level-10 of (Rs.56, 100-1,77,500)
Educational Qualification: Degree in Textile Manufacture/Textile Technology/Textile Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent. Equivalent means “ Graduation in Textile Engineering awarded by the Institution of Engineers (India)”.
Experience- Three years experience of work connected with management/running of textile units of which 1(one) year should be in the Spinning and Weaving department.
OR
Three years experience of work in a Government or a Semi Government Organization with duties relating to the development of textile industry including one-year practical experience in Spinning and Weaving department of textile.
8. Drugs Inspector
Number of Posts: 7 (UR-5, SC-1, ST-1)
Age: Not exceeding 30 years on the normal closing date.
Pay Scale: 47,600-1,51,100/- in the pay matrix level 08 pre revised PB-2 i.e. Rs.9, 300-34,800 with Grade Pay Rs.4800/- Total Emoluments Rs 58549/- approx .
Educational Qualification: Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Science or in Medicine with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a University established in India by law.
Provided that only those inspectors-
(i) Who have not less than 18 months’ experience in the manufacture of at least one of the substances specified in Schedule “C”. OR
(ii) Who have not less than 18 months’ experience in the testing of at least one of the substances specified in Schedule “C” in a Laboratory approved for this purpose by the licensing authority. OR
(iii) Who have gained experience of not less than 3 years’ in the inspection of firms manufacturing any of the substances specified in schedule ‘C’ during the tenure of their services as Drugs Inspector shall be authorized to inspect the manufacture of the substances mentioned in Schedule ‘C’.
9. Legal Advisor-cum-Standing Counsel
Number of Posts: 1
Age: Not exceeding 50 years as on normal closing date.
Pay Scale: (Pre-Revised Pay Scale- Rs. 37400-67000/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 8700/- in PB-4. (Revised Pay Scale- Level 13 (Rs.1,23,100 to 2,15,900/-) in the Pay Matrix as per VIIth CPC. Total Emoluments excluding HRA and Transport Allowance is Rs.123100/- plus DA as applicable per month.
Educational Qualification: Degree in Law of a recognized University or equivalent.
10. Head of Department (Information Technology)
Number of Posts: 1
Age: Not exceeding 40 years as on normal closing date.
Pay Scale: Rs.37400-67000 ( PB-4) plus Rs. 9000 (Academic Grade Pay) (Total emoluments excluding T.A. and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 1,19,360/-p.m. approximately).
Educational Qualification: i) Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Information Technology with first class in Bachelor’s or Master’s level from a recognized university.
(ii) Minimum of ten years relevant experience in Teaching/Research/Industry.
OR
(i) Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Information Technology with first class or equivalent either in Bachelor’s or Master’s level and PhD or equivalent in an appropriate discipline in Engineering/Technology from a recognised university.
(ii) Minimum five years experience in Information Technology in Teaching/Research/Industry.
11. Principal
Number of Posts: 1
Age: Not exceeding 50 years as on normal closing date.
Pay Scale: Rs.37400-67000 ( PB-4) plus Rs. 10000 (Academic Grade Pay) (Total emoluments excluding T.A. and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 1,19,360/-p.m. approximately)
Educational Qualification: (i) Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology (i.e. Civil/Mechanical /Chemical/Electrical/Computer Engineering and Information Technology) with first class or equivalent either in Bachelor’s or Master’s level and PhD in Engineering from a recognized university.
(ii) Minimum of ten years relevant experience in Teaching/Research/Industry out of which at least three years shall be at the level of Head of Department or equivalent.
12. Training & Placement Officer
Number of Posts: 1
Age: Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date.
Pay Scale: Rs.15600-39100 ( PB-3) plus Rs. 5400 (Academic Grade Pay) (Total emoluments excluding T.A. and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 56114/-p.m. approximately)
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology in the relevant branch (i.e. Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology) with first class from a recognized university and 3 years experience in Teaching or Research.
13. Workshop Superintendent
Number of Posts: 1
Age: Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date.
Pay Scale: Rs.15600-39100 ( PB-3) plus Rs. 5400 (Academic Grade Pay) (Total emoluments excluding T.A. and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 56114/-p.m. approximately).
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Technology with first class from a recognised University and 3 years experience in Teaching or Research.
14. Assistant Public Prosecutor
Number of Posts: 1 (OBC)
Age: Not exceeding 33 years for Other Backward Class candidates in case of vacancy reserved for them as on normal closing date.
Pay Scale: Pre-revised Pay Scale Rs. 9300-34800/- plus Grade Pay of Rs. 4600/- in PB-2. As per 7th CPC- Level-7 (Rs.44900-142400/-) in the Pay Matrix. (Total emoluments excluding T.A. and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 44,900/- plus DA as applicable p.m. approximately).
Educational Qualification: Degree in Law from a recognized University.
