The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the schedule for the Civil Services Exam (CSE) Main exam. The exam schedule is available on UPSC's official website, upsc.gov.in. The candidates who have cleared the UPSC CSE Preliminary exam should check exam schedule. The UPSC Civil Services Exam 2019 will begin from September 20 and will end on September 29, 2019. The morning shift will be from 9 am to 12 noon and the afternoon shift will be from 2 pm to 5 pm.

The candidates have to write 9 papers in the Mains exam and out of which two papers will be of qualifying in nature. The interview will carry 275 marks. The paper-i essay will be conducted during the morning shift. General studies I to IV will be held in each session on the weekend. Indian languages exam will be held in the morning shift on September 28 and English exam will be in the afternoon shift. The optional papers will be held on the last day, September 29.

UPSC CSE interview or Personality Test will be conducted in February 2020. The UPSC will release the admit card a few days before the exam. The candidates should follow the syllabus to prepare for the exam.

The UPSC CSE preliminary exam was conducted on June 2. Through UPSC civil services exams, the government recruits cadres in Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and other services like IRS, IDAS, CAPF-AF.
