UPSC CSE 2019 announcement! Main Exam Schedule Out; Check details here

UPSC CSE 2019: The examination schedule for the Civil Services Exam (CSE) Main has been released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The interested candidates can check the details directly on its official website, upsc.gov.in. Candidates who have cleared the UPSC CSE Preliminary result 2019 can check their Mains exam dates which will begin from September 20.

The UPSC CSE Mains 2019 exam will be conducted from September 20 to September 29. Candidates who qualify the examinations will be called to appear for the interview round on June 2. The interview will have 275 marks with no minimum marks for qualifying. 

The written examination will have 9 papers of conventional essay type, out of which 2 papers will be of qualifying in nature. The UPSC CSE exams will be conducted in two sessions, forenoon and afternoon. 

The forenoon session will start from 9 am and continue till noon and afternoon between 2 pm to 5 pm. On day 1, i.e September 20, Paper-I essay will be conducted followed by general studies I to IV (paper II to V), in the morning shift, one in each session on the weekend.

The examination for Indian languages will be held on September 28 in the morning shift and English exam in the afternoon. The examination for optional papers will be conducted on September 29.
