UPSC civil services result 2018: Toppers share their success mantra
All set to take up the challenges in their professional life, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) toppers Vallari Gaikwad, Dr Girish Badol, and Jayant Mankale shared their success mantra on Wednesday.
Girish Badole (28) from Osmanabad, with secured All India Rank (AIR) 20, is a farmer’s son. He completed his MBBS from Mumbai’s JJ Hospital and Grant Medical College in 2013. Seeing the struggle of my family and others in rural areas prompted me to be something in life. Being an IAS officer, I will be able to give service to a larger part of the society by being a district magistrate, or a secretary.”
Vallari Gaikwad from Aurangabad (AIR 131) is an LLM. Gaikwad’s parents are government servants. She cleared UPSC in her fourth attempt. Her preference is to go for foreign services. “The dream to represent the largest democracy in the world has been a motivation for me,” she said.
