UP Rainfall News: There is an important weather update for Uttar Pradesh. Several districts of the state have been receiving rain for two consecutive days and the weather is likely to remain the same till tomorrow, September 18, 2021.

Zee Business reporter Ambarish Pandey has reported that there has been continuous rainfall in several districts of Uttar Pradesh including Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Jaunpur, Sultanpur, Bhadohi, Ghazipur Kanpur, Chitrakoot, Bahraich, Banda, Deoria, Etawah, Fatehpur since Thursday morning. The rain also also accompanied by lightening and strong winds.

It has to be noted that a red alert has been issued in 30 districts of Uttar Pradesh. The rainfall in the districts of Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi has caused waterlogging in roads and colonies. Pandey reported that due to the rain, weather has cooled down and Lucknow recorded a maximum temperature of 25 degree Celsius.

The met department has informed that many districts of UP will continue to receive similar rainfall. Due to this rainfall, the Lucknow University and its affiliated colleges will remain closed today and tomorrow.

According to the report by Pandey, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed all Divisional Commissioners and District Magistrates to carry out relief operations with utmost urgency due to this heavy rainfall in the state.

It has to be noted that senior officials visited the area to monitor relief operations and instructed to close all educational institutions including schools and colleges in the state on September 17, 2021 and September 18, 2021. It has also been said that immediate relief will be provided to the affected people.

The people have been advised not to go to congested areas and to leave house only when it is very important.
